DOCUMENTARIES

At dockyard, we produce films and videos, often in partnership with other organizations and producers, on a wide range of subjects -- from the brutal history of lynching in the U.S. in "Without Sanctuary", to the flourishing of the carnival traditions throughout the Caribbean diaspora in "Caribbean Festival Arts." We travelled to Chile for "Expedition Alerce: Lost Forest of the Andes" which follows a group of explorers seeking the rare Alerce trees, the largest and oldest trees in South America. We also use documentary approaches to create educational and promotional media, as in "Nosara Retreat: A Haven of Renewal in Costa Rica."
